About the Author
Ardeshir Ommani was born in Abadan and studied in Abadan Institute of Technology, before coming to the U.S. in 1963. He received a Bachelor's Degree from Upsala College, a Masters Degree in Political Economy from the New School for Social Research, and a second Masters from Long Island University in Mathematics Education.
He is a writer and an activist in the anti-war and anti-imperialist struggle for many years, including against the Vietnam and Iraq Wars. Ardeshir is a co-founder of the American-Iranian Friendship Committee (AIFC), www.iranaifc.com . He helped launch the successful internet campaign: www.StopWarOnIran.org. In the 1960's, he was a co-founder of the Iranian Students Association (ISA), which contributed to the struggle against the Shah of Iran.
