There are many cartoonists in Iran. In fact, Iranian caricature art has a long history that mimicks Iran’s politics and pop culture of the moment. Having already been published in several magazines, Amir Farhad is at the forefront of modern Iranian carticature art. Amir is the Art Director at Tandis Magazine in Tehran. series below, Amir explores his funny men, with new expressions that are left to be interpreted any way you wish. About Amir Farhad Amir was born in Tehran in 1977 and has a degree in graphic design. He has done several solo exhibitions, including an exhibition in the Iran House of Cartoon, one in Balbolsar at the Dada Art Gallery and many more. His primary work is focused on caricatures and cartoon designs and his 'funny men' have been seen around the internet quite a bit.

With a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Chicago, Sara has always been involved in the arts and literature. When in college, she ran the advertising and marketing office of the school newspaper. She has since worked as a free lance journalist and writer for two newspapers in Tehran. More recently, she has been working at ABOUT, Chicago Magazine, and PerisanMirror.
