> > THE 6TH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS SUMMIT 2009, GENEVA BY CHRIS W. BURST
WAALM, a major contributor to promotion of Cultural Diplomacy and Human Rights.
 

Delegates from 26 nations participated the 6th annual international human rights summit in Geneva, Switzerland.

This summit hosted delegates, dignitaries and youths from: Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, Congo, Demark, Egypt, France, Germany, Holland, India, Iran, Jordan, Kenya, Mexico, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Timor - Leste, the United kingdom, the United States of America and Vietnam.

The invited international panel of speakers addressed two issues of:

- Solving global human rights issues through education;

- How to unite together to improve human rights conditions.

This summit was followed by a full day seminar and workshop on human rights education and promotion at the University of Geneva.

WAALM  was also among the invitees to the Geneva summit and Prof. Dorbayani, PhD, Founder and President of WAALM addressed the delegates on the role of Cultural Diplomacy in context of human rights at the University of Geneva.

The summit was ended with the grand premiere video of 'The Story of Human Rights' directed by Mr. Lexton, a closing address by Prof. Allida Black - the Project Director of The Eleanor Roosevelt Paper, and Human Right Hero Awards conferred by the Academy Award nominee actress, Ms. Anne Archer.
